1. Standard definition and applicable equipment
E2 is a cylindrical straight hole tool holder under the DIN 69880 VDI standard, commonly known as VDI-E2 boring and milling cutter holder. It is specifically designed for VDI power tool towers of CNC lathes and turning and milling composite machines, holding cylindrical handle boring bars, end mills, and reamers, while also performing milling and boring processes.
Model Naming Rules (Example: E2-40 × 20)
E2: Type code (side fixed cylindrical hole, standard for external cooling)
40: VDI installation handle diameter (VD16/20/25/30/40/50/60)
20: Clamping inner hole diameter (Clamping tool shank diameter between 6 and 50)
2. Structure and clamping principle
Installation end: Rear serrated VDI handle, matched with machine tool turret VDI tool holder, strong positioning and locking rigidity, quick disassembly and assembly;
Clamping end: Straight through cylindrical hole, multiple hexagonal side fixing screws on the side press the round handle tool tightly;
Cooling structure: standard external cooling holes, some customized models with internal cooling channels, suitable for deep hole boring and chip removal;
Material hardness: Alloy structural steel, overall quenched HRC56~58, precision outer circle/inner hole precision grinding, runout ≤ 0.01mm.
3.Core application (milling+boring dual-use)
Boring processing: clamping integral hard alloy boring bar, adjustable precision boring tool, rough boring tool, inner hole rough/precision boring, step hole, blind hole;
Milling processing: clamping straight end milling cutter, keyway milling cutter, countersunk drill, turning milling combined with upper end milling, side milling, groove milling;
Other: Clamp the reamer, float the tap rod, and complete the reaming and tapping processes.
